Leaving for Texas

I just received a call from my son who is a firefighter/EMT. He is leaving tomorrow morning along with 4 squads and heading for places unknown in Texas to help in the aftermath of “Rita” He stated he will be gone 30-45 days. Makes one kind of proud to know there are people willing to jump in and help. “Firefighters rush in when everyone else is rushing out”

Robert,

Let’s just hope & pray that he will not be needed in SE Texas for more than a couple of days. Texans thank him for his help!

It’s 8:40PM central time–my son just called, they are currently in Oklahoma and have been told they are to stage at Reliant Park in Houston, they figure to get there around 5:30 tomorrow morning.

Should be interesting.
