I hear of the stuff all the time, see ads everywhere down here in TN. But I have never come across a house with it yet. Sounds interesting, maybe I need to research it a little…!!

Brian,
Thanks for the information. Sounds like this stuff is going to be the next EIFS. The first time I came across this stuff was on a billboard in Florida while we were driving home.

Joe,
Ya here in Fl. I have seen some homes where they are applying this but I haven`t had a chance to stop and take a look. Next one I see I`ll take a look at and give some more feedback.

Kurt,
I would certainly appreciate that Kurt. At first I was not sure if this was a new marketing thing for stucco or a new material. Now I know it is new to the market. From what I read on that site that Brian supplied, it sounds like this is going to become the next EIFS problem child!
If you come accross anything on the composition of this stuff I certainly would appreciate that also, since they are not really saying exactly what this stuff is made of on that site.

A close-up photo of this material would be great.
The site that Brian supplied also mentioned that the lighthouse "Race Rock" has been coated with liquid siding since 1978. O.K. Great. The siding has lasted for over 25 years, but nobody has lived inside this lighthouse to test the environmental aspects of this material.
Your opinions about another EIFS problem may be correct. I wouldn't want to be the first family to test the outcome of this new siding.

Brian,
They put up a good web-site. Check out the prep and substrate area, very complex and labor intensive. Things like nail pops, sealing joints removing mold and mildew, moisture control before applying. This is another sealed house system. Oh yeah, lots of installation problems and related failures, voided warranties for not following SOP's, etc.
EIFS II, watch your late night news for reports from your local call for action investigator with indepth and hard hitting interviews.
New and more expensive test equipment most likely on the drawing boards already.
