I have questions regarding flooring systems installed over garage floors. Are there any specific requirements? In IRC Section R309 when they speak of Floor surface, is this the true floor (concrete) they are referencing? If a home owner has a flooring system installed over a concrete floor in a garage, how does an inspector rate this or is it even questioned if it does not create a tripping hazard? I appreciate all comments.
