Gotta give credit where credit is due.
Yes she’s finally left the cult. Wouldn’t have been my first choice as to which republican would disavow the cult first but good for her. Regarding Epstein don’t take a victory lap until all of the unredacted files have been released. ![]()
I’ve seen the files. There are a lot of redactions.
-il- Cl----n.
–l- -lint–.
B–l -li-ton.
Bi-- C-into-.
-il- Cl-nt–.
Well if he’s in there let’s see it.
There are no victory laps here. Never will be. It is not like these files have been in an inaccessible vault with only one magical key. The files have been stepped on, redacted, redistributed, cherry-picked, and only God knows what else. We will never know what we don’t know.
I hope something productive comes from all of this. But what is our desired outcome?
- Is it to see the heads of our political rivals roll? To advance electability
- Is it to see justice served for the victims?
- Is it to expose the corrupt biosphere for which these atrocities flourish?
Unfortunately, I fear the only motivation for those in power is number 1. This includes MTG.
Not sure what credit is due to anyone for doing the right thing.
Just the same, good for her for doing the right thing.
I concur.
I did not know how to take Marjorie Taylor Greene at the beginning, but she settled into a fine republican and appears posed to be a front runner in 2028 elections if she chooses to do so and cast off MAGA and conspiracy nutjobs.
She is not casting off the conspiracy nutjobs, she is embracing them. She is looking for vindication for her constituents who have been clamoring over themselves for more than a decade crying out about high-level human trafficking that includes prostitution and pedophilia.
Imagine that, leading up to this time, she has been considered a White Supremacist Christian Nationalist. And because of this political maneuver, she is now redeemed. Well played MTG, well played.
If you say so…
Did you vote for Trump knowing his infidelity, that he is a felon, and had close ties to Epstein?Imagine that…
Christian nationalism is a form of religious nationalism that focuses on promoting the Christian views of its followers, in order to achieve prominence or dominance in political, cultural, and social life.
Thank you for that copy and paste definition, as if…….SMH.
It is not mixed with your defining qualities. Lol.
Wow do you dive into rabbit holes. Lol.
If I suspected that Trump was an incestuous pedophile like Biden, he would not get my vote.
I like how Trump played sort of guilty for months to let the Dems demand the release of the files… then at the last minute, he tells all his Republicans to vote to release them. LOL. He played everyone. He’s never been to the island.
I was wondering that in the back of my mind.
And if so, did the immense negativity and how the population reacted do you think it was worth it if it was true? Lol…
Trump and Epstein were bosom buddies.
Remember the live mic and the reporter Billy Bush? *Access Hollywood* tape from 2005, which featured Donald Trump having a lewd conversation with then-reporter and host Billy Bush .
All the accusations of molestation. 19 women have accused Trump of sexual misconduct.
This man deserves everything coming at him.
Serious question & not trying to be a dick. Why do you & others call Republican voters or Republican politicians a cult member? Is it just a way to be mean or “name call” a person opposing your party choice?
Mark my word, even if the release the files legislation gets signed by Trump, we’re not going to see much. The reason Trump ordered the DOJ to purse Democrat investigations relative to Epstein is to tie up the release of those files. It’s the plan. Trump’s campaign promise was to release the Epstein files, but that changed and remains the same. Not much if anything will be released.
As far as Democrats and Republicans in the files, release all the files!
I’m not Robert, but here is the basic definition and characteristics of a cult.
A cult is a group with unusual beliefs or rituals, or a devoted following to a person or ideal. While the term can simply mean a system of religious worship, it often refers to a group with a charismatic leader that uses psychological manipulation to control members, isolates them from society, and demands excessive devotion. Key signs can include an authoritarian structure with no accountability, fear of the outside world, and intolerance for critical thinking.
Characteristics of a cult
Authoritarian leadership: A single, charismatic leader demands unquestioning loyalty and is unaccountable for their actions.
Isolation: The group isolates members from family and friends, sometimes making it difficult to leave.
Manipulation and control: The group uses manipulative tactics like fear, guilt, and emotional pressure to control members.
Intolerance for dissent: Critical questions or challenges to the leader or group are not tolerated and may be punished.
Financial exploitation: The group may demand excessive financial contributions from members.
Unreasonable fear of the outside world: Members are often taught that the outside world is dangerous, evil, or corrupt.
Types of cults
Religious and doomsday cults: Groups centered around a particular religious or spiritual leader and ideology, sometimes with beliefs about an impending catastrophe.
Political cults: Groups focused on a political leader or ideology, sometimes involving a cult of personality.
Personality cults: A group devoted to a famous person or celebrity.
Fitness cults: A group of enthusiasts dedicated to a specific fitness regime, lifestyle, or personal trainer.
And there’s this.
The term “Trump cult” is a pejorative phrase used by critics, as well as some mental health and cult experts, to describe the unusually loyal following of Donald Trump. Analysts note that while Trump’s support base is not a formal, high-control religious organization, it exhibits characteristics often associated with a political personality cult.
Key Characteristics and Analyses
Charismatic Leader and Veneration: Trump’s followers often display an “excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment” to him as a heroic or even divinely ordained figure. He is seen as a strong leader who can solve complex problems and save the country, which appeals to individuals feeling uncertain or insecure.
Demand for Absolute Loyalty: Trump emphasizes personal allegiance over party ideology or specific policies. Dissent or criticism is often met with belittling, shunning, or accusations of being a “traitor” or “RINO” (Republican in name only).
“Us vs. Them” Mentality: A strong in-group/out-group dynamic is cultivated, where supporters see themselves as part of an enlightened “inside” group and critics/outsiders (e.g., mainstream media, the “establishment,” Democrats) are demonized as “evil” or “untruthful”.
Control of Information and “Alternative Facts”: The movement is characterized by a reliance on leader-approved information sources, a skepticism of mainstream media, and a tendency to create alternative realities or facts. This echo chamber reinforces beliefs and makes followers resistant to contradictory evidence.
Personality Traits: Psychological studies have found that Trump’s most loyal supporters tend to score high on self-discipline (a facet of conscientiousness) and low on openness to new experiences, personality traits that can correlate with an inclination toward cult-like support.
Justification of Actions: Followers often engage in “mental gymnastics” to justify the leader’s behavior, viewing his actions as necessary to achieve a perceived “higher good”.
I’m not Robert either, but Trump knows he has a cult following. That’s why he said…
“I Could … Shoot Somebody, And I Wouldn’t Lose Any Voters”
Also, cults typically attack “former believers” when they attempt to leave the cult. For an example, see; Marjorie Taylor Greene
