Since this is our first conference, and the first time we would have to meet and greet everyone at the same venue, I thought it would be a good idea to gather all of the Chapter Presidents to understand their issues and needs for their particular chapter and locality. We need to go forward with one voice and common NACHI goals.
There is a great need for an understanding of how the chapters can all work together. We will never be able to have common marketing and publicity unless we find out what those needs, which differ from region to region are. The agenda will be set by the presidents, not me. Isn't that the difference between NACHI and the others, that we are a bottom up organization, not the other way around? This also will help the NACHI foundation in many ways because again we can work to achieve common goals.
The individual chapters can not work in a vacuum. We do not have 150 plus individual NACHI organizations. In order to move forward to combat ASHI campaigns we need a centralized campaign. But first we must understand what the true issues are.
This was not meant to be a secret. I did not see anyone else doing this in the organization so I decided to step forward to start the process. If all feel that this is not a worthwhile cause and feel we do not need such a meeting let me know now and I will cancel the meeting.
Lorne.
