I use to read and write poetry but it was many years ago now for I was a younger man then with a gentler mind and life’s longing and lust for the wondrous future and long road in front front of me.
That poem should be dedicated to our esteemed “men and women” of the armed forces and used as a vehicle to insure none are left lonely this time of year.
I have been surrounded by veterans of all confrontations for 8 years now this year. Caring for my family veteran and witness to that poems truth.
Many here have families that are selfishly caught off guard with their own fast paced lives just thinking of but their own futures in mind,… But for a second hesitantly questioning …, and then moving on and instantly forgetting about their family veteran soldiers that keep the world free from tyrants and evil.
This true story voiced as a poem will hopefully one-day stop …
for there will be no more wars and loneliness will be of ones own choice, as it should be.
