Back in the old “secret society” days when I was a new IAEI member, still with IBM and spent a lot of time in office buildings I had a standing bet with my IBM buddies that I could find 3 violations within 50’ of wherever we were standing. The first thing I did was open the door to the closest electrical room. They all look like this. Some have more junk, some look a little better but I never found one with proper working space. Real estate is too valuable in these buildings and the management is always looking for places to put things. Locking the equipment room door only insures that the valuable stuff gets put in there.

Occasionally a fire marshal would say something but they usually had their hands full just checking the exit lights, keeping the egress routes open and making sure the fire extinguishers were maintained.

I never saw one look under a raised floor and that was where the real bodies were buried. icon_wink.gif
