NACHI is a member of MHIA.

I would love to, but I’m scheduled to teach a CE class to the local Realtor Association then. Sorry.

HEY! NICK:
What happened to Big Mouth Bushart. He could go, that way he will be off the board for awhile and stay out of everyone’s bussiness. Time to step up for NACHI James.
couldn’t resist JB

Yes Leonard, you could have resisted, but you didn’t even try.

The group is made up of Realtors, Home Builders, Lenders, the Bar Association, Title Companies, and others. They meet every 3 months to discuss issues of importance to the real estate and housing industry in Missouri and help support each other. They’ve been a good group in the past years. The past 2 years, however we’ve seen a push by the Realtors to get home inspectors licensed AND they’ve started talking about how we should be made to carry mandatory E&O insurance and be prevented from using language in our contracts that limit our liability.

I was one of the Charter Members of this group when it started about 5-6 years ago. I typically go to 3 out of 4 meetings per year. Stacey Van Houtan also belongs and attends regularly. Mark Adams President of MAREI (Missouri Association of Home Inspectors) also belongs to the group and attends regularly. David Moriconi also is a member and attends every other meeting.

James Braun from Jefferson City has attended the last 3 meetings.

That provides us HI attendance from NACHI (4 of us belong); ASHI (1 belongs); NAHI (4 of us belong); and the state MAREI group (5 belong).

The St. Louis ASHI Chapter also belongs and their President (Harry Morrell) also attends these meetings along with the ASHI Lobbyist.

I DID,I DID:
But I see we are their with others from NACHI.
