I am glad Marc is back and I hope Marcel Cyr and Chuck Evans return to the forum. These 2 gentleman and others are a wealth of information and guidance.

People make button mistakes on a keyboard or an adding machine, but to make a targeted wrong button on a forum access on one persons account out of 10,000 members is a little far fetched and more deliberate than a wrong button depression.
Will we get admission of that persons mistake and deliberate actions?
Not likely.

Pressing the wrong button is pretty stupid. What website/forum server has buttons?

If I remember correctly, when we switched to this Forum system, it was discovered that it was chosen as it would essentially “run itself” with auto-moderation features, freeing up Staff to do ‘other stuff’.
Looks like it is working exactly as hoped for!!
If that were the case, why would they still need 14 moderators?
And why did we not see any flags posted?
There is something else involved here that not too many know about that played in pressing the wrong button.

I wasn’t saying that this was THE reason, but reminding everyone that there is a reason why we migrated to this NEW forum format in the first place. I’m sure there are many other factors at play here also!

To silence a user on discourse, you need to take the following action:

I’m sure they knew within two minutes of researching the incident. I guarantee it’s on some report somewhere! You’re more likely to hear the truth out of killery in September sooner than finding out the truth of what happens in Nachiland!

I flagged everyone I came across.
As I mentioned much earlier… This could well be hackers at work. If so, Blocking the IP will do nothing to stop it, and would explain why IT is taking so long to get a handle on it. God forbid they are honest about it with the membership!
