Chad,
572 Posts and you haven't even decided to become a member yet?
What's holding you back?
I think I can answer that.

I think IHINA and NACHI are polar opposites with regards to this issue. Membership in both orgs could create a bit of a conflict. Although I do know of at least one of our members that has this dual membership.

I was wondering at what point does the moderation of a topic or a post become necessary.
I have a thick skin and honestly, I enjoy it when Farsetta's blood pressure raises enough to start a name calling soiree, but at the same time it'd be far more effective for everyone to avoid that scene and discuss the issues.
I posted the name calling bits to illustrate how smoke and mirrors can be a diversion to the real issue. Nick made some outrageous claims in that thread and others about NAHI. Rather than just gracefully admit he was mistaken, I came under a personal attack for pointing out the facts. Once the name calling began, the mob mentality took over and the cover up was complete.
If there were moderators that could edit the parts that have no bearing on an issue, or are personal attacks, the issue would remain clear and the discussion would be fruitful. http://www.nachi.org/bbsystem/viewtopic.php?t=6379
