Great post. Many should hopefully learn from it. The most conservative person can still not like a so-called “conservative” candidate. My personal preference is to try and stay out of the herd, although it is tough when people keep trying to put you into the herd. Online posts are rarely the full picture of any one person’s views.
I am the type of person that reads and analyzes peoples personalities, I have my definition of a conservative and a liberal but you may not want to hear it, you can obviously see it by reading the forum.
Scott, I am interested in everyone’s opinion. I am very much a free-thinking conservative iconoclast. That may seem contradictory and paradoxical but I don’t see it that way. I make a conscious effort not to judge others, especially not based on my biases. I accept people for who they are. I want to know the perspectives, values, and opinions of others.
I do not like or judge others on the basis of their opinions or beliefs. I grew up in a culturally and ethnically diverse neighborhood and I love food. Consequently, my world view has more to do with food than other cultural differences. That does not mean I am a liberal, conservative , or anything else.
Whatever your opinion is on any topic, I will accept it. That doesn’t mean that I will agree, but I am interested and will do my best to understand it.
Thank you, Marcel.
Very interesting article by OpenSecrets.
Personally, I did not realize 6 other donors contributed over 100 million. Crazy amounts of money!
Appears money buys and drives politics and political favors.
Thanks again.
