Moving to florida. transfer lic from NY 20 yrs

So, I am moving to Florida next January and would like to know the easiest way to get my Florida license…
My Background: I received my Grandfathered NYS license with my experience and Taking there National Certified ASHI inspector test
I have been looking at the Florida website and they show the Internachi Proctored test being one of there choices. Nothing from ASHI.
Thanks
John

I believe you can get a list of proctors from fastreply@InterNACHI.org

Marc Goldenberg, being in FL, has a more accurate answer below.

You might be OK without having to take another exam.
CALL THEM they’ll let you know for sure. Good luck!

For initial licensure by endorsement, what is required to meet application review standards?

To be eligible for licensure by endorsement out of state applicants must hold a valid certification / license in another state whose licensure requirements and licensure examination are substantially similar to this state. The required elements are listed on page 4 of our licensure application, which include a certificate of licensure from your home state that shows the following:

  • Your name
  • License number
  • Date of initial licensure
  • That the license was obtained by passing a proctored national, regional, state, or territorial examination

Thanks, I will call but this is my issue maybe the > “That the license was obtained by passing a proctored national, regional, state, or territorial examination” < since I was grandfather in for my Licence. Although with my 20 yrs experience my ASHI and Internachi certifications I could teach the classes for the exam…
