Musk was probably chosen to do this job (which has to be done) for 4 reasons:

  1. He’s rich. Super rich. He can’t be bribed. Advertisers at Twitter tried to bribe him with millions and he told them to go F themselves.

  2. He doesn’t care about stuff. He doesn’t even own a house. He sleeps on a couch in the factory. He dreams about Mars. He’s not self interested.

  3. He’s no threat to Trump. Musk isn’t a natural-born citizen and can’t run for President.

  4. He has no empathy for the people he is firing. His kids’ mothers have explained that it is because Musk has Aspergers Syndrome. People with Aspergers don’t have much empathy for others.

He’s the perfect hatchet man for this horrible job.

That’s great except for one minor detail, Nick.

It’s illegal.

I agree that it has to be done but IMO a different way. We just need politicians who care more about the country than about their next election.

It’s illegal like that kid who used a gun to stop a mass murderer in a mall, despite it being illegal for him to bring his legally-carried gun into the mall: Greenwood Park Mall shooting - Wikipedia

These bureaucrats are illegally borrowing and spending money on stuff that is outside their limited duties enumerated in the Constitution, and they know it. Who cares about stopping them legally? Stop them in any manner possible even with deadly force. They are the criminals and they are bankrupting us all.

What that kid did by taking out a murderer was legal. What Trump and Musk are doing is illegal.

Most Americans.

I agree, but even you have admitted that if they fired every G employee, it wouldn’t be a drop in the bucket when compared to what they need to cut.

I disagree. In my opinion, most Americans don’t care about the illegal actions of the government. They only care when it is politically expedient.

Yeah. Imagine that! SMH.

The poll also reported a “wide partisan divide”, with 77% of Republicans in favor of Musk and Doge and 16% disapproving while 96% of Democrats disapproved.

Ah the tradeoff. Just like the person who was saved when their car went into a lake because they were not wearing a seatbelt. Great story, but not much of an argument that seatbelts are bad.

The everyone’s packing heat vs. nobody packing heat debate tends to consider edge cases, not the entire picture, the entire number of injuries, incidents and miracle saves.

Their salaries would be, yes… only 11%. But they aren’t just potted plants, as we now know. They also spend our money. Aside from his/her salary… every day a bureaucrat gets up and goes to work, he/she makes the world a little bit worse.

Please state the statute for that one…
Not from CNN or BSNBC either.

Actually the bridge worker that survived the Francis Scott Key collapse did so because he had manually cranked windows. Seatbelts still unlatch underwater, power windows won’t work.

Not sure if you’ve been keeping up with current events, but these stories have been all over most news outlets recently, I even posted a story from FOX News just for you.

As for a specific statute, there are many laws they have broken, constitutional and criminal, but if you want specifics, email the judges that are ordering the reversal of pretty much everything Musk and DOGE has done or go read about it, it only makes sense that these judges are doing what they’re doing because what Musk and DOGE are doing is illegal.

On Feb. 10, the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) filed suit for damages against the Trump-Musk-DOGE cartel. The lawsuit, which EPIC filed before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, calls for damages on behalf of tens of millions of government workers and Americans resulting from the administration’s illegal breach of personal privacy and its threat to national security.

“These basic security failures have resulted in the unlawful disclosure of personal data—including social security numbers and tax information,” reads the complaint.

EPIC is claiming the data incursion — among many other violations — is illegal under the Privacy Act of 1974. “Plaintiffs have a constitutional right to the privacy of their information…. Defendants have violated and continue to violate that right by unlawfully disclosing extremely personal information about Plaintiffs and millions of others to unchecked actors in violation of law,” the complaint states.

This is such an interesting characterization.

I knew the unelected deep state bureaucracy and pork-fed Congress would not go down without a fight, but I did not expect the media and the American people to comensurate.

And I do not mind the court challenges, for I expected their last dying words to be broadcast as court petitions.

But a significant group of Americans wants failure in the short term at all levels, from peace negotiations to government spending. It is all TDS-based emotional outbursts. They do not care if DOGE makes sound decisions, so they listen to and promote the media that echo their desires. And now, the left has turned violent (again). All the while claiming some moral superiority. I am astounded.

God Bless Trump. May Peace reign and lives saved.
