Not exactly heated. More special than that.
Is it Bear-proof?
Ding ding ding.
It’s an “Unwelcome Mat”.
I kneeled on it to examine an out of kilter door threshold, and the owner’s representative literally yelled at me to get up carefully. Fortunately, I was wearing all nylon winter gear.
More or less an electric rat trap, for bears.
