I'm trying to address their concerns. Unverifiable membership numbers and one-person ownership with no representative elections doesn't sit well here in California. I'm trying to get someone to sponsor home inspector licensing/legislation, but I have to make sure that when someone does that it doesn't come down to CREIA/ASHI or bust like it did last time. CREIA/ASHI are very powerful in this state, especially CREIA. Those problems indicate that some view NACHI as less than a "viable" organization. I'm working to combat that. No one will ever convince me that an elected Board of Directors and verifiable membership numbers will hurt NACHI in any way whatsoever. Membership in NACHI gives one automatic free membership in InterNACHI (but not the other way around unless the InterNACHI member is fluent in English).
