Sounds ok, but what if your reporting system generates a 30 - 40 page report as with Porter Valley software’s, InspectVue program. 25 reports at 40 pages = 1,000 pages or 2 reams of paper note to mention the ink. Uploading to the web with a password, might work?

Michael

Copy them in a pdf format and email them. No wasted paper, ink, printer wear, packing or postage

Michael,

You can send them via pdf file or on CD. Once you have entered your 100 specific directions are given - well better yet - here is what the email says:

NACHI Member:

Thank you for submitting 100 reports for verification. Of the 100 addresses that you've listed, NACHI will need to further evaluate the following 25 reports

(Reports are Listed)

Please send a hard copy of these reports to:

NACHI Report Verification
921 Pennsylvania Ave.
Elmira, NY 14904-2652

OR e-mail PDF versions of these reports to:

reportverify@nachi.org.

Thank you for your continued effort towards full membership.

John:

I have an Inspector that has Apprenticed for over 100+ Inspections. I would say that he is New but he has accompanied me and/or performed over 200 Inspections in the last 4 Months.

Rather that inputting all of the data, why not just send the 100+ Inspections on CD.

You can look at whatever 25 Reports you wish after that.

Agreed?

Agreed... Make sure the member provides us with his NACHI ID # and email address or something if further communication is necessary.

No. They don't come close to covering even half of what is in our SOP's.
Sorry..

Over 30 members have had their 100 reports verified during the last two months.

I see.

If going through the time to submit, I would think one could know who is reviewing.

For example....I wouldn't submit reports to someone who only has 100 inspections and in their first year.

Who is doing the reviewing?

Why? You don't believe they can check reports for substantial compliance with NACHI's SOP's.

Are you prejudicial towards new members. But to directly answer your question, I review them.

I am not prejuducial and am positive I could learn from some inspectors who only have one inspection. It seems to me though, the reviewer would be a full time inspector, or someone with 1,000’s of inspections, or have extensive training.

However, I would not get together reports for review, not knowing who they are going to.

Thanks for the answer.

Your welcome,

All reviewers will have had their inspections submitted and approved. I'm only running this thing long enough to get the bugs off and hand it off.

Some ole timers have gone through the process. Paul Sabados and Blaine Wiley come to mind.

I've heard through the scuttle butt that future "mab" members who are required to be full members must have completed this. It may be just a rumor. I don't know.

I'm just guessing here, say we have 1000 working members. The math says that is 25,000 reports consisting approximately 1 million pages. Looks like it might be a bit of a Herculean task, require the purchase of the NACHI warehouse and a hiring a logistics manager just to slog through the mess. No wonder we haven't done this before.
