As part of NACHI’s Safe House Campaign, several major local radio stations have agreed to air a public service announcement on Sunday, April 4, 2004 reminding people to check their smoke alarm batteries since they have just changed the time on their clocks. Some other stations I am waiting on word back from. For those of you familiar with the market, these include DC101, WHFS, WPGC.
If any of you have contacts in your markets and would be willing to approach them, let me know and I will send you the 30 second copy.
Thanks to the USFA(FEMA) and MD Fire MArshal's Office with preparing this.

OK, slight change. The foundation is BUYING a pofessionally spoken radio ad. The gentleman recording it will then donate most of the money back to the Foundation. This radio ad will be a file format that radio stations use. Once we get it, I will email it to any and all members who will be willing to send it to any and all radio stations in their areas. The more the better.
This file will be kept to use every fall and spring. So basicly we are getting a professionally produced radio PSA with NACHI's name done for nationwide use for what will cost us less than $100. We have to pay some since some of the money must be given t the union. Problem is most radio stations won't play spots doneby non union members.
Please send me you email addresses so when I get this we can send it out immediately. Any writers willing to help me make sure the copy is ok, email me too.

Thanks Dave. I want to email it out to the speaker today so we have it tomorrow. That is the rush, not trying to be pushy or rude. This PSA needs to air sunday April 4 to be effective.
