I’m a candidate member of ASHI in addition to being a NACHI member. Ran into my first instance of a “Pushmatic” main electric panel today and wanted to find out if it needed replacing like an FPE or Zinsco panel. After searching both boards, I found lots of posts on the NACHI board matching “Pushmatic” and none on the “ASHI” boards. Somehow I’d thought that the reverse would be true being relatively new to NACHI, but now I know better. Thank you NACHI inspectors.

Yeah…
Lots of good electrical posts on this board. But, it really shouldnt surprise you. We all help each other around here. In fact, we've got sever non-menber electricians (like Bob Badger) posting and helping over on the electrical Section. I hope that if Bob ever decised to become a HI, we are all as eager to help him as he is to help us!

The ASHI forum has been down for about a week while the site was changed and a new provider was hooked up, and it just came back up. The Archives have not been loaded back up yet. I know that Doug Hansen had several post on Pushmatics, I had a couple and so did many others.
Not a thing wrong with Pushmatics other than they are old and outdated. Last price I found was around $45 per breaker.
Try http://www.inspectorsjournal.com This site has a very good forum with some to the top people in the profession on it. Each topic section has a moderator that is an expert or specializes in that field.
"Main disconnect location: Large breaker at top of panel"
"Water Service: Public" "15) Water pressure is greater than 80 psi."
How was this measured?
" Temperature-pressure relief valve drain line is missing." and it is:
"9) The temperature pressure relief valve is leaking"
