Hello! I am currently studying through the 120 InterNACHI course to become a certified inspector in NC and then FL. Does a NC student really have to pay $1500 to complete the 80 additional hours of training? I have called several CPIs in my area that are more than willing to let me go along and shadow for 10 inspections, but apparently this counts for nothing, other than my own training. One has to pay one of the approved companies $1500 to complete the necessary training I guess. Any input and recommendations would be great, thanks so much.
