Need reference from older NEC concerning length of run?

Please look at an earlier code for the rule pertaining to runs of up to 100 feet before pull boxes were required when 4 AWG and larger was installed.


If I remember correctly the note was at the bottom of Table 310-12 ... in the early 60's???

I am away from my library, and will appreciate some help.

Jerry Peck has many of the older codes now and may be able to post that information here.
