This quarters issue of Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association magazine contains a very interesting article on how the expected increases in imported liquefied natural gas over the next five years or so is expected to affect the appliances in which it is used.
It describes how the Wobbe number variances will cause longer/hotter flames in contact with heat exchangers and other parts that were manufactured for shorter/cooler flames. Technicians are being warned and it is something that we should certainly watch for, ourselves.
