New in the Home inspections

Hello everyone, my name is Mandas from Columbus, Ohio new member with interNACHI, currently I do Land surveying for work I do have some knowledge about construction and I want to switch to Home inspection, am a little bit lost in the website and I need some guidance, well my main question is; do I have to take all the interNACHI required courses or just the required courses in the state of Ohio to become a home inspector? Thanks

Hopefully some of our Ohio Inspectors will be along shortly for more in depth answers.

If Ohio is licensed then all you need are classes approved by Ohio for your license. All other INACHI courses are there for your benefit, and those of your clients as you will learn more, and to make/maintain your INACHI designations.

If you want to be certified, you have to complete all of the required courses.

Also you want to obtain your CPI, so all the required CPI classes as well as state required classes.

Hello, Abdelkrim.
Hope to find you well, and welcome to The InterNACHI message board community. Pleasure to meet you.

You take the required courses for the jurisdiction/state or province you work in.
The Ohio Department of Commerce requires a license to work as a home inspector.

The education does not stop there. You have your annual CEU’s and any courses with wish to add to your educational - working profile.

Wishing you all the best with your endeavors.
Kind regards.
