New inspector

Juan, I came on board over 9 years ago, then started on this MB a few moths later.
Above all, join NACHI. You can’t cure stupid.
Go with HIP, not only for reporting, but also to start your website.
Read, read, and re-read NACHI’s SOPs. Then read them again, every week. Make sure you are in line with them. Otherwise, we’ll see your name on Boot Hill.
Finally, say it like you see it. Don’t be viscious, don’t be opinionated. Refer it out to a specialist as needed, CYA, and speak the truth. This is no profession for prostitutes!

Russell, congrats on the 10 year anniversary, it is members like yourself that have made INachi what it is today!!

John (welcome to the board)

I think you meant that for John

Hey guys thanks!! I just want to make a good living, I was hoping for some good advice but thanks for the warm welcome

A good living?
What you want to be a HI for?

What you mean you can’t make good money being a hi

Like Russel said, HIP all the way for your needs.
You won’t regret it.

If you have not schedule your class yet, Dan Bowers has his school open in Kansas. Dan is a veteran inspector in all associations. Been inspecting since the mid 70’s. He knows his stuff. You can contact him at DL_Rambo@hotmail.com . You will not be sorry!

Obviously you haven’t read very many of Kevin Woods post, or you would have thought is was excellent advice.

I think what Nathan was trying to drive home in some thick heads is that the new inspector was asking for advice, but all he got was a bunch of inspectors slamming Wood because of several past posts.
You guys just need to get over it, in my opinion.

I’ii second that.

I hope you have an additional source of income for the start up period- which is likely about 2 years- plus you will have all the licensing, certification, marketing, and equipment expenses. good luck.
