Has anyone seen knob and tube wiring run through vinyl tubing? You know, the kind you see in an aquarium. Apparently, to do some other repairs (don’t get me started) they needed to reroute the wires in a non-stright line. I guess it comes with the territory when you have a homeowner doing their own service change.

I’ve seen k and t running in all sorts of ways. The best was grooved wood…the exact size of the conductor…laying flat inside the groove…and then sealed with another piece of wood. I can only imagine the time involved to install such. I’ve seen k and t replaced with thhn…and in my mind why go through such trouble when running romex is by far easier and quicker and cheaper. The vinyl tube you spoke of is not an approved raceway for electrical installations and should be flagged as such…or referred to a licensed sparky who would not replace the vinyl with rubber hose…seen that too
