NHIE test prep help

In all fairness that’s pretty much what everyday home inspections are based on.

Obviously but some of us that are taking this test have NOT done this on a daily basis. Thanks for the help though.

Take this exam until you get in the 90s on every subject and you should be good to take the NHIE:

Thank you anyways.

Right! That’s why you shouldn’t be inspecting if you can’t pass the test. Hell, there’s way too many inspectors who passed the test that still shouldn’t be inspecting.

that’s right. that’s why some of us are trying to get past this test so that we can get to your level. But thanks for the positive interjection. It was greatly appreciated.

When I took test it focused on defects only, I haven’t found course just on report writing, my first report was horrible, they have gotten better, long road ahead, take the test but don’t believe for a second that you’re ready, read and understand, that’s the best course of action

Are there any audiobooks available anywhere? I’ve seen the roof inspection Audio book on inspector outlet but that’s the only one I’ve seen…

Took my exam on 9/25 and passed it on the first go. Thank you everyone that helped.

Congratulations, Bradly!

Is it the NHIE manual bu Bruce Baker? I am in need of it please.

Zach, if your still having trouble locating the NHIE manuals, you can purchase them directly from the EBPHI at https://nationalhomeinspectorexam.org/books/ ($259)

or here: https://www.mbitiontolearn.com/real-estate/nhie-prep-book-set-nhie-set ($249)

Having your own copies is great for studying as you can mark them up any way you need to and they come in handy as references later on.

Joe just offered a gold nugget for those that need to pass the NHIE

I concur with Joe Young, it would be best to purchase the current study guides direct from NHIE organization. The older versions available to purchase as “used” from other sellers, do not have the up to date information that will be included on the current test. (these are the older blue cover editions)
Also as Joe said, these books will be a great reference library for anyone even after they pass the NHIE.
Good Luck!

Thank you! I was seeing them anywhere from 1k-2k $$, that’s crazy

Zach,
This also popped up in the forum classified section today:
