Nick's inspection riddle #4. Can you solve me?

Circuit Interrupter is my guess though I see I was just beat to it.
So I will take a chance and say AFCI also.

I think Ricks got it.

We’'ll see when Nick gets back

Blower Door

GFCI

Just saw above post.

Smoke?

Air looks for leaks … to the inside and to the outside.
Air pressure moves from high to low, seeking balance.
Air leaks are often invisible to the naked eye, but must be found in order to improve indoor air quality and energy efficiency.
Air, when one has been deprived of it, can save your life.

Apparently, since “air” is not the answer you are seeking, there is more than one answer to your riddle.

I was thinking along the lines of air movement and vapor diffusion as well but because you already guessed ‘air’, I kept on thinking…

Well done Rick I think you are right!

circuit breaker

mold

Vapor, mold (spores), gas, CO etc … all travels by way of air.

Refrigerant leak detector / leak detector dye / leak detector

It is defiantly Electric and Grounding could also be the answer.

water meter still works

My guess was a shot in the dark, but I think Russell has the correct answer
“Water Meter” It fits all the criteria.

Water pressure tester/pressure meter.

My mom is also sometimes hard to find. She is 89.

Moisture meter

Rick got it. GFCI

Rick, unless you tell me otherwise, I’ll ship your three silver bars to the address you address you have in www.nachi.org/profileintro.htm

I look for leaks, but I’m not a home inspector.
(GFCI’s look for current leakage)
I love balance, but I’m not an art collector.
(GFCI’s make sure the hot current matches the neutral, or they trip)
Sometimes I’m frustrating to find.
(like when a home inspector trips an additionally protected receptacle and then can’t find the GFCI to reset)
Sometimes I’ll save your behind.
(GFCI’s are safety devices).

Note to all… I gave you an additional 5th hint in my post #11.

Congrats Rick!

Your “hints” had more than one answer — individually, and collectively.
