No idea what this is

Anyone have any idea of what these things along the edge of the window are? its in no other area of the home.

I should not it definitely doesn’t look like mold.

Reminds me of a fungi, but I can’t remember any details of it.

It looks like fungi growth but I’m no expert.

@mgoldenberg will probably know.

Well, It looks moisture related, :thinking:

I agree, likely fungi…but based on the photo I cannot rule out insect larvae.

Possibly Brown Stemonitis.

Think you are right. More than likely the “stain” once removed and not covered or addressed.

Junior is our new fungi assessor!
Soap & water scrub, then seal the area.
Now keep the window closed and/or sealed. Poor air circulation caused it.

Looks like someone had some ivy growing on the interior wall and removed it. Looks like what is left behind on brick walls and soffits when people let stuff grow on the walls.

Scott is right. Ivy has little pads that essentially glue themselves down. It’s pretty difficult to remove, when you rip the vine it leaves these behind.

Looks to me like the dead remains of a creeper plant that sticks to a wall surface and then was pulled off…
