What do you report if central a/c unit has no tag for specs?
In that case I take lots of pics and post them here. May be helpful. I inspect the unit as I normally would and send my report and let them know I am working on the specs. If I can’t get them within a day or so I let the client know that I was unable to get them any more info on the unit. End of story. Just do all you can, most people will understand.
I just say that the data plate is missing and the specific information could not be obtained and then go on with the temp drop and operational status…You can only do what you can do…
Happens all the time.
Sometimes it is just printed on paper with ink, which fades , or the shutoff is mounted in front of it.
