It was Marcel, but being a drain pipe I didn’t have a problem with it being lead, but ya gotta love the “craftsmanship”. 
Thanks Kevin. I thought so. I have done repairs and remodels in old buildings before the ditgital cameras came out. Saw some similar configurations with lead piping.
So in the spirit of an intelligent discussion, does everyone agree this would be a defect?
Will the weir be maintained to prevent sewer gas?
Is there a chance of siphon?
This is just to promote discussion Kevin, it will be included.
I called it out as an improper P trap, so my answer is yes the water seal could be siphoned out.
