Article sounds good. I just happened to be doing a commercial inspection along with the local fire inspector and signage is one of the things that came up; good timing. Tried to do proof reading, but no obvious “proofs”. One question: is the chart original or from a resource?
Looks like it was compiled from IBC 2006.
Keep in mind that some buildings have multiple uses…a gymnasium for exercise during the week, and rows of folding chairs for seating for the church that leases it on Sunday.
This type of signage is normally reserved for the AHJ or fire department inspection. The NFPA Standards are commonly used for such a purpose. Personally, I’d stay out of this type of information gathering and reporting on commercial jobs.
