He is a contractor and they have grandfathered contractor’s in to the mold testing. I am going to make them think about the bill. He is painting his own wagon

Hi to all:
On 3/22 the HI Bill was moved to the criminal justice commitee for review. We anticipate the Bill to be attached to the current mold bill SB 1046.
Please note that both proposed bills is not what the Governor asked for in His veto letter.
I have received and keep receiving emails from concerned individuals and companies that are in favor and opposed to the Legislation as written.
Thanks for the feedback.
Email FLORIDANACHI@Bellsouth.net
Will there be a background check added to the bill ? I know that when the Jessica Lundsford Act went into affect there was a sudden shortage of sports officials for high school across the state. Lots of felonies and sexual predators that were on the High School fields over the years.
No background checks. This is the HI Bill is not licensing. There is no enforcement until you get sued.
As promised, the House Mold and HI Bill have now become one Bill. The Senate Bills are still separate and have completely different language.
I had communication with FABI’s Legislative Director today, Joey Cabellero.
Joey Cabellero, “FABI BOD voted not to pursuit or sponsor any bill that can not be enforce. I think right now ASHI, FABI and NAHI are against legislation as it stands right now.”
The great news is this year we have open communication between the trade associations. I appreciate and look forward to the continued relationship we have been building.
I have been in contact with the FAPHI Board of Directors and look forward to providing the NACHI membership some information soon.
Jay
Watch your back side
I have a problem with all to the people that you are working with SPEAKING for their org just as you DO NOT speak for NACHI
You are the messenger and a good one
The blank statement that xxx is against the bill etc might not be true
The real question is the what and how for us
–
The bill as written was so bad that if we tried to force it through it would be a blessing because it was so bad. Now that people are playing with it - it might be better because it is so bad.
In any case I am sending more emails - hand written notes - etc to many of the reps stating that the bill sucks
BTW put me down on the – the this bill sucks side of the ball field
JAY — WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STATE WIDE EMAIL TO ALL MEMBERS??
OR WAS THIS JUST A PROMIS THAT WAS GIVEN TO YOU BY HG THAT DID NOT HAPPEN??
THINK WE NEED A REPORT ON SAME
RLB
E & O for mold. I have it, but it is hard to find. That along may put some people out of business. Wow.
Jay, you are doing great.
Richard:
Your entitled to your opinion.
If you have been reading the board, Nick let everyone know that some email has been blocked thinking it was spam.
I do not recall you emailing me at FloridaNACHI@bellsouth.net two weeks ago when I asked the membership to do so. But thanks for your response today.
I do not speak for NACHI. I speak for the majority opinion of the NACHI members. I keep record of all email, just in case there is ever a question from the membership.
BTW Richard, how is the Central Florida Chapter you wanted to get going. Harvey and the State Directors would love to know your status.
Gary, the Governor treats E&O as malpractice insurance and is opposed to it.
I wish the Orlando chapter had more meetings. Thinking about going to the Space Coast meeting. Always wanted to meet the famous greg bell.
It has been 6 months since Central Florida had one. It must have died.
Come on over Gary it isn’t that long of a drive.
Before starting the new chapter I spoke with Dennis because I really wanted to take over the Central Florida Chapter, but he assured me that he would keep the chapter going. Any of you Orlando members are welcome to come over to the Space Coast Chapter we can include the Orlando market in our plans.
you got that right! what happenened to the central fl meetings anyway???
Next meeting in Riverview is set for May !
Here Is The Latest House Version. Very Strong Chance Of Passage.

Ouch! This may significantly change the make-up of those who promote Vs. those who will seek this bills defeat. Personally I have gone from opposing to being back on the fence and look for the advice of others who have studied the ramifications of this bill in greater detail.
Hi to all,
it appears that this version of the bill may again be unworkable due to both the education provider limitations (as far as I know no one currently qualifies) and due to the E&O issue on the mold side of the bill. (again just about impossible to get)
