The Ohio Division of Real Estate And Professional Licensing renews all three of InterNACHI’s real estate courses - Home Energy Efficiency for Real Estate Professionals, Home Energy Score for Real Estate Professionals, Saving Home Energy for Real Estate Professions.
Those three courses you have listed, Are they the ones required for my inspector license in Ohio this year once we reopen up? I wanna get a head start on it when and if we do. Thanks James
Hi James,
These three courses are specifically for real estate professionals, not home inspectors.
The Ohio licensing process for home inspectors has been much delayed. InterNACHI will be able to submit an application to be an approved education provider for home inspectors in February when they begin accepting applications. We will be submitting our CPI certification program as pre-licensing and continuing education so if you are a member and want to get a headstart, that’s a great place to begin. We can’t promise the courses will be accepted since we are not the state, but the odds are very, very good.
Thats great to hear!! I did email the state last week and they replied back stating that they are as of last week going through the application process of approved institutions.
They recommend me to studying for my NHIE. Plus like you stated and I’m confident as well that Internachi will be on their list of one of the approved online schools.
They may have moved the timeline up from the last time I saw the announcements since Ohio is not under my specific wing. Either way, InterNACHI is applying and very soon should be hopefully approved!
