Every once in a while we have those finds that remind us there is more to this job then just telling a buyer what is wrong with the house they are planning to buy. This one stunned my a bit when I peaked up the flue to the fireplace and it just opened to a dead space behind the wall. My best guess is that the roofer removed the flue/chimney during a re-roof but I couldn’t find any holes through the ceiling when sticking my camera up there but I was also unable to get a full view so maybe I just missed it. The fireplace has definitely been used but luckily not since whenever this happened. It’s on a mobile home so no attic.

Wow, nice catch. That first fire they burn would have been quite the “house warming!!” haha
Was there no flue at the roof?

No flue at the roof and it looked like it had been replaced within the last couple years.
Just stretch yellow caution tape across it
