Hi-

I am to the point of signing up for training and need to make sure I pick the right school. FREA has an approved list and I wanted to see if they match your recommended training classes for new inspectors. I have met a number of your members and plan on joining your association in Washington- I was at the last meeting in Tacoma, WA and it was great.

John,

RE FREA "Approved Schools".

I think if you check with Chris Butler at FREA, you'll find that the list is just a link list not an approved list.

There's a lot more schools out there than are linked on the FREA Website.

Choose carefully.

You'll learn more on the inspection forums than you do at whichever school you choose, though I do recommend the formal structured setting of the school for a starter.

I will follow up with all who requested and look at the info. That was some fast turn around.

My experience is that local community colleges have great courses, and are usually cheaper than the private schools.

Also, they take longer so the informnation has more time to sink in. Meat is best marinated slowly.
