Palin/Couric Interview

Do I have to watch the debate tonight? :frowning:

I’ll just get mad.

I have not decided as of yet! May be like I have doing with my St.Louis Cardinals, when they begin to choke I just shut the TV off!

Back to our gal, it appears the frost is off the pumpkin, whatever the hell that means.

Palin was in New York City Thursday.

**(CNN) **– Prominent conservative columnist Kathleen Parker, an early supporter of Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin, said Friday recent interviews have shown the Alaska governor is “out of her league” and should leave the GOP presidential ticket for the good of the party.
The criticism in **Parker’s Friday column **](http://article.nationalreview.com/print/?q=MDZiMDhjYTU1NmI5Y2MwZjg2MWNiMWMyYTUxZDkwNTE=)is the latest in a recent string of negative assessments toward the McCain-Palin candidacy from prominent conservatives.

It was fun while it lasted," Parker writes. “Palin’s recent interviews with Charles Gibson, Sean Hannity, and now Katie Couric have all revealed an attractive, earnest, confident candidate. Who is clearly out of her league.”

Frost “on” the pumpkin Joe. That means is Fall in the Northland.

So I guess that “frost is on the pumpkin” means that a long, cold, dark, winter is here, well at least for the McCain campaign. Anyway, Kathleen Parker went on to say about Palin. Ouch!

If BS were currency, Palin could bail out Wall Street herself," Parker also writes. “If Palin were a man, we’d all be guffawing, just as we do every time Joe Biden tickles the back of his throat with his toes. But because she’s a woman — and the first ever on a Republican presidential ticket — we are reluctant to say what is painfully true.”

If she has more “executive” experience than Obama and Biden put together, that suggests that she has more than McCain as well, does it not? Her political “internships” don’t impress me one bit. None of them impress me for that matter. Again, this election is not a vote for the best candidate, rather the candidate who’s the lesser of all evils.

She does and she does as compared to McCain as well. But then again all that matters is the other side Biden/Obama. Hence gives that ticket more executive knowledge on running a government not to mention a military. The lesser of the two evils may be my most driving factor to vote for McCain. Who knows, in the long run I may not vote but I assure you Obama won’t get my vote.

You make a good point. The more I hear Obama talk, the less impressed I am with him. The more I hear McCain talk, the less impressed I am with him. I would, however, feel more comfortable with Biden as POTUS despite his idiotic comments at times. Perhaps I am biased because I’m from Wilmington, Delaware and know the family, but Palin scares me as our potential Commander in Chief.

Obama has a good team around him and thats the difference. I would vote McCain or not vote. Its Obamas beliefs and past that scare the he!! out of me. Socialism is simply a bad thing and we are getting a taste of what that is about right now with Freddie & Fanny! I don’t want to be forced to be big brother, I think that should be something one does on their own. Let me decide what to do with my money outside reasonable taxes.

LOL,… funniest part of that is Biden saying after the stock market crash “they got on television to talk about it” Everyone knows Al Gore didn’t invent TV for us yet,… sheeeesh  HA HA!

It was the most boring thing I ever saw.

I agree, pretty boring. I have to admit neither “won”. They both did a pretty good job IMO. Both had some good jabs, pretty even.

Unbelievable…

Biden’s comment came on the heels of him stating that the people need to have confidence that their leaders know what they are talking about.

Then he reminded everyone how when the stock market crashedm that President FDR went on TV and explained all to the American public.

As to Sarah Palin, only time will tell.

As to the debate, they both did okay and not so okay.

VP debate should be interesting, as Biden is an excellent debater, but is also an idiot, who has been in the Senate forever, is a Washington insider, and as been virtually wrong on every policy opinion he carried.

If the debate is actually Dumb and Dumber, my money is on Biden for the latter.

The fact that Palin will stay on the ticket is a foregone conclusion. What has not been decided yet is whether Obama is electable at the end of the day.

The fact that Macain isnt far behind at this late date, despite being a part of a party that everyone supposedly wants out of power, tells me that at the present time, the American public doesnt like Obama very much either.

The problem is McCain did not jump off the page. Obama has a better chance of winning because McCain just did not capture the spotlight. Obama already has it and still has it IMO of course.:frowning:

If still on Palin , todays editorial in the Sun Times suggested you watch Palins body language.(while watching her interviews)

This was written buy a Pulitzer prize winning writer who claims that Palins body language suggests she hates being questioned and is hiding a lack of knowledge ,with an air of superiority.

The old white guys went for a quick fix with window dressing and may pay for it in the end, once we all see the empty vessel.

I thought you were a Obama supporter?

Palin / Couric SNL Version. What a hoot!:shock::mrgreen:

What time is it when your VP Candidate becomes a national laughingstock?

I’m waiting for the SNL skit on Biden that includes the numerous gaffes he makes. There is a much richer source of material just waiting to be mined in the interest of comedic enjoyment.
