Hello,
I plan to travel out west next summer for 4 months. Can I pause my membership and training? Does the training etc have to be continuous? Can I pause for 4 months and not pay the $49. Then start back in Oct 2026 where I left off?
Thank you!!!

Yes, you can cancel your membership and then activate it again when needed, all your info and progress will still be there.
Morning, William. Hope to find you well.
From my basic understanding, you cannot pause your InterNACHI membership fees. InterNACHI’s membership fees are $49 per month, or $499 per year for new members as of late 2025. Next years InterNACHI membership fees will likely be increased by $100.00 dollars.
Canceling your membership will also cancel your enrollment in any associated courses or programs.
Morning, Roy. Hope to find you well. Welcome to the InterNACHI message board community. Happy to meet you.
I take it you are not a full member seeing you have the title Non-Member Guest.
Yes. You can pause your membership but with it comes caveats, just like pausing mortgage, insurance, car loans, credit card payments.
My advice, keep payments up. You can login from anywhere to continue your membership and courses.
Training is done at your own pace. It is quite flexible. Once you achieve CPI, Certified Professional Inspector, you are well on your way to a carrier in the home inspection industry.
Good luck.
Wishing you all the very best with your life endeavors.

It depends on where out West you are traveling to and where you come from. Where are you going to and where are you coming from?
My finger is on the button now. LOL
Ridiculous reply
From that we can tell you are very intolerant and not motivated to provide good customer service. Quite possibly a Loony Lefter. For that the answer is no you can’t do that.

roy was here!
Well in 2022 I canceled for a bit and then started it up again 6 months later, I lost nothing in my account. Everything was still there.
Evening, William. Hope to find you well.
May I ask, what do you mean you lost nothing? Where you a CPI? Had you tried logging in during your 6 month hiatus? What if anything did they say at InterNACHI to you about canceling your membership.
All I can say to you on your point is, I guess it depends upon the overall circumstances of the members membership cancelation. Happy it all worked out for you.
I remember InterNACHI reaching out to me when my credit card number was changed due to blatant thief. I paid the full year to maintain the best financial and member results. Been a member for 15 years remember.
I think by the time there accounting system spotted the delinquency, 3 months had passed. I was forewarned to make a payment and even called InterNACHI. Lisa Endza was Communications Director back then if my memory serves me well. All I know is that Lisa Endza, “You’re The Best!”
She insures questions are dealt with in a professional timely fashion.
Other than that nothing changed. I had full member status. Dues remained the same.
InterNACHI Membership Dues Conditions: If you become a paying member,
you authorize us to charge your credit card or bank account for membership dues and other sums you owe us, and to sign any required forms for us to do this.
You understand InterNACHI may terminate your membership if you do not pay all sums owed when due.
You understand InterNACHI will automatically renew your membership and charge you for dues unless you notify InterNACHI in writing that you no longer wish to be a member at least 30 days prior to the expiration of your membership
Copilot" Conditions of membership
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the contribution, Robert. SMH
@rkent6 Here is a quick way to have your questions answered.
I was a CPI at that time, and I was able to log in, but was taken to the membership page.
I did not loose my CPI status, all my certifications were still there once I started back up. I did not have to retake any courses, and all my uncompleted course progress was still there.
You are welcome InterNACHI..
Oh, its Brian… Enough said, Lol.
You for got one…All I can say to you on your point is, I guess it depends upon the overall circumstances of the members membership cancelation. Happy it all worked out for you.
Not sure if there is a “pause” option. If you have to cancel then you cannot use anything with InterNACHI written on it. When your not a member, even for a short time, you have no right to use their name or anything else InterNACHI.
