I was looking to add pest inspections to my list of services. I have gotten diverse responses to my question of what the eligibility requirements needed to inspect for FHA loans in New York State. Any information that you could give me would be appreciated.

Ralph, this may not be the exact answer you are looking for but it might lead to the right one. Go to www.vba.va.gov/ro/new-orleans/CompInsp.PDF This is actually the VA required inspection form in PDF format that also has several phone numbers for further information. As I understand it, if you can do VA inspections, you can do FHA inspections.

Since I posted the original thread and read Larry’s reply, I have found out that a 30 hrs. course in structural pest& rodent control is all that is required by fha in ny. thanks for the help Larry.
