Pre-Drywall Inspection in N.C

I am about to perform my first pre-drywall inspection next week here in North Carolina.
Do I still need to follow the NCDOI SOP for this type of inspection?
Does anyone with Spectora has a template that they would be willing to share?
Any advise and tips from the veterans would be helpful… throw it at me.
Thank you for your help.

Hang in there & welcome!
@kbrittain may be here soon.

I don’t offer pre-drywall services but I am under the impression that the SOP does not apply. Depending on when you are there and what systems and components are installed they may or may not be functional so you can’t verify that they are “functioning as intended”. I checked with a fellow inspector who does pre-drywall inspections and he operates under the same assumption. I would make sure that your pre-inspection agreement states that your inspection is not done in accordance with or follows the NC SOP.

As a former building inspector for many years, I would require a copy of the approved plans.
It should not be up to you to approve a structure and all items under the Sheetrock. The quality of the approved materials should be your major interest.
