The interior designers for these hotels/conference centers have to be tripping on acid when they order the carpet!

Currently in the deck inspection course with Lon Henderson. Had a Structural Integrity class with Graham Clarke this morning. The conference has been rocking pretty solid since I came in yesterday. Walked into the vendor section yesterday evening and ran into Ben right away. I was surprised that I was able to speak to him. Cool!

You really took the convention seriously, Anthony. You even chased down Ben Gromicko. Great work.
Looking forward to any photos you post.
Thanks for the update.

I was there too.

I just had dinner with Lon and Jim Krumm. What a hoot! There was also the Sewer Scope guy from Subteck, Jack(I think, my hearing sucks).

It was a great day, Lon’s presentation was entertaining and informative! Everything I saw today was useful, to the point I’m going to make sure I’m at the next one if at all possible.

I met Ben for a few minutes and I’m still trying to hunt down Nick. I’ll get him tomorrow

Lon Henderson, Mark Roberts and I enjoyed a breakfast chat before classes started on day two of the convention.

Lon gave a great lecture on how to inspect Decks yesterday.

Lunch on the second day. Tacos and burritos. A good morning class on multi-family inspections. An afternoon class on thermal imaging.

And I won a hat in a drawing

I was told once the reason they put carpet like that on the floor, is so that you have to look up, as the floor is too busy.LOL

So now that I’m back home, I have to say what a great time I had!

The venue was great, I met Ben, fist bumped with Nick, got to hang out with Bert and Lon.

Bert, you continue to amaze me with your energy and enthusiasm keep me in mind for one of your future gigs, I’d love to tag along. Lon, thank you for your presentation and I really am glad I met both you guys in person. And Lon thanks for letting me tag along with you guys for dinner!

The presentations were great and while I can’t say I learned anything Earth shattering, I did learn quite a bit of nuance.

Lon, I still think those blocks should have leaked

Just since it came up, I grabbed my ride home from the current bottom edge of The Villages to the northern bit where I live off the dashcam. The drive time was about 30 minutes, I sped it up 12x.
