Propane dripleg

Is there a minimum length a dripleg should be on a furnace?

Thanks,

Scott,

Check Mfg. instructions and this AHJ may have a say also

It is most common to use a 3 inch nipple for the drip leg but your Title indicates propane which does not require a drip leg .

Skip it. The gas companies around here don’t care about drip legs on residential construction.

Just make a note if one is there are not.
If the system shuts itself down and they start complaining to you about it because the HVAC guy can’t figure it out, you may have something a little extra that they haven’t considered.

I’ve seen them as short as 1" to as long as 6".

As long as it’s there, it’s good in my book.

Thanks everybody.
