New to me, so sharing. Turns out there’s such thing as a never-trip breaker, that can go into regular panels:
Ever seen one in the field?
Yes that is actually a molded case switch and not a circuit breaker and they look very similar. The fact that they’re interchangeable is kind of scary. I have seen them a few times in residential AC disconnects and they’re used in commercial applications as a disconnecting means where there is also fuse or other overcurrent protection.
