good question Todd.

Gerry...do we favor the IRC over the UPC when they differ like this? Or visa versa?

I would use the IRC as a “guide” since that is widely accepted across the US … icon_wink.gif

Gerry ... thanks for sharing a pic of your bathroom, but you Brits sure are strange with the size of the TP you use. But then again, you don't give driving on the wrong side of the road a second thought (duck) ...

According to the poll if this answer is right, that is only for handicap bathrooms in Iowa.

Hi to all,

This one was tricky as I deliberately put up 2 correct answers, this was to illustrate a point about "codes" and the fact that there are some regional differences in the adoption of code.

Dependent on where you live and therefore which code is adopted the correct answers are:

15 inch from centerline and 21 inch front (IRC 2705.1)
15 inch from centerline and 24 inch front (UPC 408.6)

Good catch to those who realized that there was not "one" correct answer, if this question were to come up in a national licensing exam I would go with the IRC answer as that as Rob said is the most commonly recognised "national" standard.

Regards

Gerry

Hi to all,

Rob, like you said before I can get sneaky, and one of the tricks to passing exams is making sure that not only that you read the question correctly, but also that you read the answers correctly the feet ( ' ) was not a typo it was me being mean ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif) ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif) ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)
