Hi to all,

Here's another HVAC question about hydronic heat (for those in sunnier climes that is heat via hot water running through pipes to radiators ![icon_wink.gif](upload://ssT9V5t45yjlgXqiFRXL04eXtqw.gif) )

Regards

Gerry

Any Repco boiler here on Long Island had to be replaced. The insurance co would not wright the policy. If you come across one, check the rear jacket behind the fire box.Look for metal warping or scorching. That indicates the fire box is burning through. Recommend home owner to call the fuel company to disable the boiler from running. A.S.A.P.

We just use solar panels to heat the water for out swimming pools. Boilers, uggghh, I don’t even like the thought of having to use a heating system.

87 degrees and bright sunshine today.

Hey Pat

If you look closely at the bottom front of the unit, you will see what appears to be a cup. Now since Gerry is from across the pond, its probably not a ruddy cup o' coffee, but a bloody cup o' tea. Most likely Earl Grey! One lump or two Gerry!

Now you know why they boil the water.
