Jerry Peck and Norm Sage put together a very good table of GFCI requirements that Jerry has been kind enough to post elsewhere on the board, so I am hopping that he does not mind this link to it here.

http://161.58.169.127/articles/GFCIpage.pdf

It would be a good idea to print this out and use it as a reference, as I can see more questions on that topic comming up in the future. (but that's just a wild guess ![icon_wink.gif](upload://ssT9V5t45yjlgXqiFRXL04eXtqw.gif) )

Regards

“Bathroom GFCI’s have been required in most areas since ?”

You might find this hard to believe but some areas do not enforce the NEC.

There are 3-4 counties around Columbus, Ohio that require NO permits, No inspections.

One that does require inspections and is the fastest growing is Delaware county.

To perform electrical (residential) work in Delaware county all you have to do is fill out a piece of paper and pay $35.00.

This area has the highest per capita income in the state.

PS They are still on the 1999 NEC.
