Gerry;
Not everyone can have a wall like that !!!
Thank god;
I think you are asking for the maximum typical spacing, no?
Larry, there are several criteria to be taken into account with stucco, there is a maximum sqft area and also maximum height or width dimensions.

Gerry
I hear you Len, unfortunately there are just not enough bad installers to go around, some people actually end up with stucco installed by people who know what the hell they are doing
Good god and I thought my humor was a bit on the dry side

Gerry
Yes, your question asks about square footage, which is typically area, so one would want the maximum…that’s my thinking.
I’m sooooo glad I don’t have to deal with EIFS anymore!!!
Hi to all,
The correct answer to this is:
144 square feet
Also no single dimension should be more than 18ft in length

Gerry
For what types of stucco are you referencing?
Is there a Code or Standard that references the 144 square feet requirement?
Hi Joe,
the requirement is for cementatious stucco installed over timber framed walls a nd come from the ASTM std for stucco as referenced by most if not all cementatious stucco manufacturers installation instructions.

Gerry

What the heck it is just stucco. Thats the least of the problems!
The texture is very nicely done. We’re seeing a lot of that here lately. They must have a new training class - You see so few quality installations like this.
Dan,
This quality piece was done by “Wreckham & Skarper Installations” and is titled “Relief map of the moon” It was done in thier friday afternoon on the way back from the pub period, which is recognised as one of the best periods for random application art.
