Inspection of site features, like retaining walls, are beyond the scope of a basic home inspection except when "these are likely to adversely affect the building" (see SOP 2.2)

In this case the poor condition of the wall could undermine the building foundations, and therefore needs to be observed and reported on.

It is beyond a home inspection to determine if the wall needs to be either repaired or replaced, so calling for further evaluation is the best option ... ![icon_wink.gif](upload://ssT9V5t45yjlgXqiFRXL04eXtqw.gif)
