is there anyone with the experience in repairing wood flooring have an idea as to how much it will cost me to repair a section on wood flooring(one stripe). rough estimate.

How old is the floor (the new piece has to be "aged" to match)?

roughly about 5 ft long
Unfinished wood
flooring about 19yrs but age don't matter it will be carpeted over.

If you are going to cover the floor with carpet just take out the damaged piece and replace it with any kind of wood the same thickness. If it’syour floor you can do it your self just a few tools needed
