  4. The Beaded Lacewing. Apparently, that’s a true fart compared to Honey Badgers or Bombardier beetles where it may not be actual flatulence.
  5. I’m going with: “professional sleeper” as the only weird job in that list I’ve seen advertised (for sleep research), “Snake milker” appears to be real. The others seem like fridge or maybe video game titles, not quite ‘real jobs’ one could presumably make a living from regularly.

I did no research.
Most people are right-handed. So, Americans wipe with their right hand. That leaves the left hand uncontaminated for working the flusher. But what about the ambidextrous centered buttons on top of the tank cover?

My answers for this week’s QOTW:

  1. A story with less than 80% of the strength of the one above it is a Soft Story.

  2. The toilet shutoff is on the left because plumbers standardized it that way early on, keeping it accessible with the same hand used for the flush lever.
    The sink’s cold handle is on the right because cold was the only supply in older homes, so that became the default position.

  3. A drain with “functional flow” that empties in a reasonable amount of time is True.

  4. The most toxic fart belongs to the bombardier beetle.

  5. The real job on that list is Snake milker.

  6. “You can hang around the house” is sung by Eddie Money, from his song You Can Hang Around the House.
