Dogs are such good companionship. My favorite pets without question. Here’s my 2.
That’s a beautiful photograph.
Thanks! Ollie, on the left, is literally twice the size of Winston and always wins their mock fights.
I’m pretty excited to have been given the opportunity to volunteer as a board member and help project manage the renovation of the historic movie theater in town. The building was constructed in 1875. The multiple owners over the years have neglected the building it, causing a lot of damage. I’m sure it comes from a lot of work for little profit. It is finally in the hands of a non-profit foundation that wants to see it as part of the community for years to come.
There are two apartments above the theater lobby that have not been utilized for years. The one photo of the stove puts the timeframe into perspective. The revenue from the two remodeled apartments will be huge in the success of the theater.
Luckily, the actual theater is in pretty good shape. The windows are getting rebuilt now and the facade is about 70% complete. The roof was redone last year.
I added the rendering of how it should look when complete.
That’s cool, looks like an interesting project, a lot of work.
We have to preserve the older buildings that we still have. Too many of them are being torn down and replaced with buildings that are disposable and lack character.
Over the last two years, I have travel to Detroit, Providence, Philadelphia, New York City, Washington DC, Charleston & New Orleans. They all endorse and take pride in the older architecture. It really makes me jealous.
Yes, I’m glad they restore them here. Much more interesting to see and learn about the history.
Thank you. I think people who don’t have pets, (through no fault of their own,) can understand how attached you get to them.
How far South were you Ryan?
About as far south in Texas as you can be without being in Mexico.
Garage find, sort of, Had my car serviced at a Chevy dealer and they had these on display parked next to each other.
I’ll take the yellow one please…
You live on the sun ???
Sunshine is a big problem for Atlanta traffic at peak times.
