Took a cruise out today, stopped on Little Cranberry island, saw some seals and the original general store. The island has a few dozen permanent residents. Saw the cart, thought I was back in The Villages for a minute.

I live in Maine, Mark, and never been there. How much is the ferry?

We did a 3 hour boat tour out of Northeast Harbor, not sure how much a ferry would be. The tour was like $70 for both of us. We spent about an hour on the Island. Lobster Rolls were $23.50. Cheapest we found anywhere. Also probably the best we’ve had too.

Spent a few days in Seward, AK. While there we took the Northwestern Fjord Tour. Up close look at all kinds of wildlife and the Northwestern Glacier.

I feel your scream. I grew up with 8 kids & have to hand it to them for staying sane. :grimacing:

If you build it, they will come…and swing. Except the runt, he’ll get nothing and like it.

Saw the Big Boy this morning. Kinda neat. Not near as neat as the guy from out of state that was there talking about how he follows it over the US neat though.

Got to do an aerial photo shoot for a golf tournament yesterday. They wanted a sunrise picture, so I had to get there extra early to set up.

had to do a little bit of editing for this shot.

When we moved to Florida nearly 4 years ago, we brought our last harvest of maple syrup.

About a gallon and a half.

Today we are refreshing it by reheating and putting into fresh bottles.

Sugar sand precipitates out over time and while the syrup is just fine, you can’t give a pint of it away without a lot of questions.

I have this big burl on one of our oak trees. For years and years I’ve wanted to cut it off and make something out of it (even though it would probably just sit in the corner of the shop until I move or die). But I guess cutting them off is pretty harmful to the tree.

Here’s an oak burl table.
